Adjectives

Elias is moving from speaking in simple sentences to the more complex world of adjectives and adverbs.
And he loves to say multiple adjectives/adverbs at a time.

Examples:

"Mommy, baby is sweet, baby is cute (pronounced kee-yute), baby is silly. Aw, baby Kyla, my baby!"

Or

"Elias coat off, it too tight, too hot, too big!"

No, he's not to the point of speaking in compound sentences yet, but at least I can understand his thought process a bit more now that he's getting older. :)

Sock Bows

So here's something I just did today. Kyla never wears bows. I'm just not very good at dressing her up and putting bows or clips in her hair. So I thought I'd try to do better, so she actually looks like a girl and I don't get questions from older ladies at Walmart asking me if Kyla is a boy or girl. :)
So I made some bows today out of old socks! Yep. You read that right.

I took long white and pink tube socks from when I was in high school that I don't wear anymore and cut them in small sections so they rolled up into circular headbands. Then I cut out a short piece of cloth from the extra sock and tied a bow! Isn't that awesome?!

Maybe a bit unconventional, but I think it looks cute! And I didn't have to pay a dime - well, not recently. Ya know, I paid the money way back in high school. But then, of course, I probably didn't buy the socks. My mom most likely did. So maybe I'll tell her thank you for giving Kyla some new bows...in a kinda round about way. :)
